Olie® Naturals Antioxidants

Anti-Oxidants

Every degenerative disease and aliment shares the same 2 underlying elements involving excessive levels of inflammation and free radical damage/oxidative stress. These health threats can be caused by nutrient deficiencies, toxins, or even normal cellular byproducts that your pet cannot clear due to age or compromised health status.

Nature’s has provided us with a remedy to offset these threats: anti-oxidants.

Solid Ground® was designed to contain a complete spectrum of antioxidants and health promoting compounds from 10 organic superfoods and herbs.

It provides support for:

  • the liver (milk thistle)
  • immune system (Astragulus)
  • high levels of absorbable minerals and chlorophyll  (alfalfa and spirulina)
  • anti-cancer nutrients like indole 3 carbonyl (kale)
  • phytoestrogens from flax lignans for better balance hormone
  • high levels of anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds from all of the above plus dark coloured berries including maqui berries, blueberries, and red raspberries.

Each phase of your pet’s life has its own unique anti-oxidant requirements. When Solid Ground® is added to your pets daily food, it ensures those needs are met.

Puppy’s and kitten’s brains, immune systems, joints, ligaments, bones and other parts require high levels of anti-oxidants during development.

Mature pets need anti-oxidants for energy, healthy coats, mobility, and clear eyes, ears and anal sacs.

Older dogs require higher levels of nutrition to prevent common problems like urinary leakage, cataracts, macular degenerative, and to reduce the risk of illness and infection as they age.

Did you know?

Anti-oxidants is a general term for plant compounds that prevent, mitigate and/or resolve inflammation and oxidative damage…hence the name anti-oxidants!

They include some vitamins like C and E, and some nutrients simply known as phytonutrients because technically they are neither vitamins nor minerals. They include compounds like quecetin, bioflavonoids, anthocyanins, and lignans.

In terms of nutritional support, flax lignans are among the most studied phytoestrogen nutrients to offset hormone imbalances created by early spaying and neutering.

The main nutritional benefits of lignans stem from:

#1) their natural phytoestrogen content to balance/modulate hormone levels for better brain, bone, and ligament development, and prevent hormone associated imbalances in older pets.

#2) their high level of inflammation and pathogen fighting anti-oxidants - lignans contain one of the highest antioxidant level (ORAC rating) of any fruit or vegetable listed in the USDA database

#3) their high content of both soluble and insoluble fiber.
